A premier dog trainer in Northern Virginia and Washington DC, Jerri has always been guided by two passions – helping people through nursing, and loving animals from dogs to cats to horses. Dog ownership for her, however, has not always been easy. Jerri was bitten by one of her family's dogs at a young age. She never gave up on the companionship that dogs provide, but her love was put to the test when she and her husband took home an energetic eight week old English Bulldog she named Diggs. Before her eyes, Diggs went from playful puppy to willful and disobedient dog. Diggs would destroy furniture, wage war with the vacuum cleaner, and act aggressively towards other animals. "Purely Positive" trainers were unable to correct her behavior.

Searching for a better way to control Diggs' behavior, Jerri discovered Canine Dimensions and its dog training philosophy, and was amazed at the results. She decided to leave her nursing career to make helping people and their canine companions her life's mission as a Canine Dimensions franchise owner.

Jerri is a Certified Dog Behavior Advisor, and is recognized by both of the nation's most prestigious dog trainers associations – the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP). She is also certified by the American Kennel Club as a CGC evaluator.
